Best CPU Cooler for I9 12900k Recommended By PC Power Up

Intel is back. This time, with its new series of processors, the Core Alder Lake, we can say that they are making a strong comeback. No more 14 nm lithography, low core and thread count, and conventional inter-core architecture. We now have an improved 10nm Super Fin processing node, a 16-core, 24-thread model, and an incredibly bold x86 hybrid design that supports Performance cores, Efficiency cores, DDR5 memory, and a PCIe 5.0 interface.

The only problem is that Alder Lake has arrived with the new physical socket, LGA 1700. If you don’t want to scour the internet for compatible cooling solutions, scroll down and check out the best CPU coolers for the Core i9- 12900K, each compatible with LGA 1700.

Noctua NH-D15:-

The aesthetics of the CPU cooler is quite interesting. The chromax.Black version means it has a completely black color scheme. The stylish CPU cooler has a premium look. The dual tower cooler has less free RAM space. However, if you use just one fan, you get up to 64mm of free RAM space.

For a flagship CPU like the Intel Core i9 12900K, the Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black is the perfect choice for an air cooler.

 Advantages:-

» excellent cooling performance

» premium construction

» silent fans

 Cons:-

» low RAM height clearance

Arctic Freezer 34:-

Heat pipes are removed and evenly assembled in a compact area to allow the Freezer 34 to stay in the center of your CPU no matter where it’s cool. Other changes include a separate high-end plate in the heatsink, an improved mounting system, and the use of a single BioniX P120 fan. The base of the cooler has a direct touch design, four heat pipes as mentioned earlier which are part of the base plate and will have direct contact with the CPU area. Although the direct contact design is ideal for heat dissipation, a smooth base plate is preferred, due to the full and smooth coverage of the CPU die area.

 Noctua NH-D15S:-

Everything about the Noctua NH-D15S chromax.Black is the same as the Noctua NH-D15. It has the same all-black stealth aesthetic and superior build quality. A high quality thermal compound is supplied with the cooler.

All in all, buy the Noctua NH-D15S chromax.Black if you want a high-performance air cooler in a slightly compact package. For higher performance, you should trade off in terms of headroom and choose the Noctua NH-D15 chromax.Black instead.

Corsair H150i Pro:-

The new Hydro Series H150i Pro RGB liquid CPU cooler is a 360mm cooling solution from Corsair with Asetek 6th Gen pump with a cold plate that is said to be small in size compared to its previous models. This overall AIO CPU cooler is recommended in our Core i9-12900K list. Corsair markets its new Pro coolers to improve the sound or in other words to cool. Corsair’s H150i Pro, like many other hydraulic units before it, uses an aluminum radiator. It has a good number of total fins per inch (FPI), and doing more in this area requires constant pressure fans or high RPM fans. Other than that, it’s pretty much the same (27mm thick) 360mm radiator.
